Dancing Man

People tried to body-shame this guy but the internet responded with the perfect campaign

And this is how the #DancingMan phenomenon began.

SOMETIMES INTERNET CAMPAIGNS don’t quite capture the imagination – this is not one of those instances.

You might see people talking a lot about #DancingMan over the next little while, and this is the story of how it all started.

Firstly, a 4chan user posted this image to the anonymous sharing site

The 4chan user wrote “Spotted this specimen trying to dance the other week. He stopped when he saw us laughing.”

Cassandra Rules, an LA-based writer on Twitter saw the images and the comment and made a plan to find the man and throw a party for him. Finding #DancingMan then became the internet’s goal

She was joined by many others in LA, all wanting to find #DancingMan

The phenomenon spread and spread online, as everyone was looking for #DancingMan and wanted to show their support

And this afternoon he was found. #DancingManFound started to trend

According to the Independent, the man is a Londoner named Sean, and might be free in a couple of weeks for the party that Cassandra and everyone else in LA has planned.

This story has melted the hearts of many a Twitter cynic
