BILL GATES’ LOVE for Reddit is no secret, but who thought he’d go as far as participating in the website’s annual gift swap?
One user by the name of Rachel was completely gobsmacked to discover her Gates was her Secret Santa after opening a present from “Bill” which contained a stuffed cow.
He also sent her a National Geographic book and a made a donation on her behalf to the charity Heifer International, which provides animals, tools and seeds to poor families in the Third World. Hence the stuffed cow.
Here’s the note that accompanied his gift:
To Rachel – My Secret Santa present to you is a cow! Don’t worry – you will not have to build a barn. This cow will be given to a family in need, in your name, through Heifer International. It will provide them with income and dairy products, and it will help them help themselves. Happy Holidays, Bill Gates
Rachel was extremely excited when she realised her present was from Bill Gates – to use her own words, her jaw “hit the EVER LOVING FLOOR”.
10/10 would receive gift from Bill Gates again.
