A 15-MONTH-OLD baby had a lucky escape when a car crashed into the shop it was in – and sent its buggy flying.

The incident took place in a shop in Sydney on Wednesday, local media reported.

The video, which can be seen on the 3e news show FYI’s YouTube station, shows CCTV footage of the car ploughing through the newsagent’s window, knocking over the buggy carrying the baby.

It shows the boy’s mother reacting in horror as she goes to see if her child has been injured.

Thankfully, the boy was strapped in and is fine, local media said.

The CCTV footage also showed the boy’s sister running away as the car came through the front window.

The male driver of the car and his female passenger escaped injury and the case is being investigated by police, according to Australia’s Network Seven.
