THE HULK IS probably one of the best comic book heroes there is but if he was the real deal, what would his anatomy look like?
Scientific American blogger Glendon Mellow has imagined it – and it brings ‘fan art’, as Mellow describes it, to a whole new level.
He said he painted the image of the skull and anatomy of the Hulk back in 2002 but after seeing the new Avengers movie it sparked his memory.
On his blog – which says he does “art in awe of science” – he says he is a fan of Marvel Comics’ Incredible Hulk.
According to Scientific American he says “I tried to draw on not only my mother’s nursing school anatomy textbooks, but also gorilla and hominid ancestor skulls, inspiration for things like the cranial ridge and large jaw muscles”.
He even went so far as to remember what injuries the Hulk had received. “I included details such as three scars on the bone (Wolverine wrecked his face a few times and I wanted to document that) and perfect glowing teeth. If anyone has perfect shiny teeth, it needs to be Hulk”.
