New app will rescue you from bad dates

The app schedules fake emergency calls from family members, neighbours and your boss giving you an excuse to cut your terrible date short.

A NEW APP released this month by online dating site eHarmony will rescue you from awkward first dates with fake emergency calls.

Users have the choice of scheduling a call if you are already pessimistic about the outcome of the date before you even get there or prompting a call during the dating disaster and the app will come to your rescue.

Bad Date Rescue offers a variety of fake calls so you can shake it up a bit and use a different one for each bad date. Your mother can call to tell you your sister has gone into labour or a neighbour can ring to say a pipe in your apartment has sprung a leak.

If neither of those take your fancy,  have your “boss” call to say everything in the office has all of a sudden stopped working and you are desperately needed to help fix it.

The heroic app will even provide you with a script so you know exactly what to say to your date.

So next time a first date starts to tell you about his pristine My Little Pony collection or her ambition to be the next Tallafornia star, hit the button and get the hell out of there.

Bad Date Rescue is available to download free on the website or in the App Store.
