Dilemma

The burning question*: Do you answer calls from blocked numbers?

It’s Monday, so let TheJournal.ie distract you from the ‘serious’ news with one of life’s REAL dilemmas. (*not really)

WE KNOW HOW you feel. It’s Monday, the whole week is looming, and you have a lot on your plate.

So do like we do here in TheJournal.ie HQ and get stuck into a serious debate on one of life’s most pressing issues.

Possibly.

This week: We’ve all been there. The phone rings. You look to see who’s calling and are immediately stymied by the words BLOCKED or PRIVATE NUMBER showing up on the screen.

It’s a tough call (no pun intended). Is it your bank? A dodgy ex? Your mother who never worked out how to show her phone number after she got that new phone?  There’s no way to know – so do you answer it or not?

Vote here: Do you answer phone calls when the number is private and you can’t see who’s ringing?

Poll Results:

C - NEVER. I don't trust phone calls that come from blocked numbers/I don't want to answer if I don't know who it is (3995)
D - Can't we all just get along? (2034)
B - Sometimes. It depends, really. (1669)
A - Yes. I'm very curious/I have to answer a ringing phone (536)
