Angela is not that impressed with Germany’s carolers

A NUMBER OF carolers made the trip to Berlin today to sing during a reception at the chancellery.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel didn’t seem too enamoured by the kids though. (Although one was in blackface, so maybe it was understandable).

They’re “Star singers”, representing the Magi who are supposed to have visited the baby Jesus. That’s why some of them are in blackface, since they’re said to have come from the East. Groups of Star singers go from house to house in Germany and Austria at this time of year, and sing traditional carols.

It comcerns me with the number of red thumbs down when an anti goverment message is s posted. I have also checked some of the pro government responses and alot are newly created twitter accounts which post on goverment comments.

I think FG are patrolling the comments and are thumbs down on anything anti government.

Just not adding up so many are pro goverment. Irish people are not that thick to see there doing a crap job.

  I think you should read the Business section of the Irish Times today. They wouldn’t agree with you at all. We have a Government who have taken all of the unpopular and tough decisions to restore our economic sovereignty and all of the current data is beginning to look positive . Having lived through the seventies and eighties and been an emigrant in that period we have never plumbed those depths.
