FACEBOOK JUST DEBUTED Timeline Movie Maker, a site that turns everything you’ve ever posted on Facebook into an exciting montage video.
It whizzes you through years of pictures, videos, posts, and more, in just under a minute.
Timeline Movie Maker only works if you’ve updated to Facebook’s new profile view called Timeline.

Incorrect.
Facebook is about direct market which is why it’s shares are worth so much.
It has grown beyond the mere social networking service of myspace & bebo.
Unfortunately people have chosen to use it so much that it has become the de-facto way to exchange information, some groups don’t even bother with a web-page any more forcing a choice between not getting the information or using facebook.
Personally, I hope that an open-source alternative will take it’s place, but it’s hard to get people to switch when they don’t know the importance of the information they are generating and are under the illusion that they are getting something for nothing.

Yeah, I’ve used it a bit, but not too many others on it yet. It’s also directly linked to every Google search I do, afaik.

Looks awful.
It just gets stupider and stupider.
The old layout worked, and drew in millions of users. Now the majority of Facebook users dislike the timeline feature.
If it works, why fix it?
If anything, a Dislike button would be an interesting feature and would sort the crap from the good stuff.
Initially I thought this was a great feature but the fact that you can’t directly share the link to your video negates any benefit of it.
Is this comments reply section for an elite club? Every time a respond my comments get deleted. Democratic??

Facebook scmacebook,got rid of my account a while back. Some people add 600 ‘friends’ and then give out all info including what they are eating during the day,others just add you so they can nose about or simply look more popular. Got so sick of it. Gmail is good enough for me,I can send pictures or links I want to share with the few people I actually want to be in contact with and I only ever read stuff that’s interesting to me…..this is just more crap that will interest people briefly

I love it. I don’t find it confusing in the slightest. The layout, functionality and purpose of it is miles beyond anything Bebo ever even considered. But there’s no changing some people’s opinions — they’re all just too cool for that.
Glad I’m not part of this Facebook any more. No wait, delighted.
