WHILE YOU WERE sleeping the New York Giants won the Super Bowl - one of the biggest sporting events on earth which isn’t just about big fellas with lots of padding throwing around a pigskin.
The Super Bowl is an iconic event in the American calendar which can be as notable for what happens off the field – Janet Jackson’s wardrobe malfunction – as it is for what happens on it – the Giants almost lost it in the last minute.
Then there’s the ads or commercials as they call them on the other side of the Atlantic. Companies pay millions for a primetime slot during the one of the most watched events in the world.
