GOOGLE IS KNOWN for its employee perks like free food, beer on Fridays, amazing working environment and on-campus massages, but there’s even more to working there than that.

One of the most valuable perks to working for the young company is a set of free classes known as Google EDU.

The subjects are broad, interesting, and bound to increase the usefulness of employees. We take a look at just some of the ones on offer.

  • CSI: Lab

CSI: Lab isn't a crime fighting class -- "CSI" stands for "Creative Skills for Innovation." It teaches Googlers how to solve a design problem under a very quick deadline, using non-programming tools like pipe-cleaners and modeling clay. Pic: Google Jobs on Picasa
  • How not to dance

  • Marketing Academy

Marketing Academy. This one's a little more serious - it is a two-quarter long "master level" marketing program taught in conjunction with the Wharton School. Pic by toprankonlinemarketing on Flickr
  • Beekeeping

Admittedly, this actually isn't a class taught through Google EDU: it's group started by enthusiastic employees in Mountain View. But it now has more than 100 members, and the honey is served in the Google cafeterias. Pic by Google
